As the nation waits expectantly to see what the Spring of 2019 holds in store, we are pleased to say that finally, some clarity has arrived with the launch of our Advertising & Marketing Sector Focus Seminar Series for 2019. Here is a brief outline of the series:

Annual Review: On Thursday 24 January, we start with our Annual Review, looking back at 2018’s key advertising and marketing regulatory and legal developments and decisions and what's coming up in 2019.

Gender Pay Gap Reporting: On Thursday 28 February, in anticipation for the deadline for Gender Pay Gap Reporting, we ask whether gender pay gap reporting has really changed the pay practices of agencies? And will ethnicity pay reporting be the inevitable next step?

Mental Health: On Thursday 16 May, to coincide with Mental Health Week, we consider what should agencies do to protect the mental well-being of employees, bearing in mind that NABS has reported that calls to its advice line are up 26% and the need for emotional support is the most common reason for making contact.

Mergers & Acquisitions: On Thursday 20 June, we will be joined by a panel of experts from the world of corporate finance, executives from recent sellers and some of our own sector focussed M&A lawyers to discuss how best to prepare your agency for sale.

Data and Privacy: On 17 September we ask whether increased privacy regulation, such as GDPR and the new E-Privacy Regulation is killing targeted advertising. And what steps can brands and agencies take to mitigate the commercial impact of these legal constraints?

Social Media: Finally, on 20 November, we'll be holding an update on the legal and regulatory risks of influencer marketing, taking stock of the recent developments in both the UK and USA, to help you navigate a course between compliance and commercial success.

All our breakfast briefings start with registration and a networking breakfast from 08:30 to 09:00. The seminars then run from 09:00 to 10:30 and take place at our offices at 5 Chancery Lane, London EC4A 1BL.
