Last week, the British Fashion Council (BFC) announced a multi-year partnership with Digital Domain, a global immersive content studio. Events, such as London Fashion Week, and partners, including designers and brands, “will have access to Digital Domain's expertise to influence content and engage with today's consumers, decision makers and fashion fans around the world."
Imagine being able to watch a catwalk show live, in virtual or augmented reality, and interacting with the clothes, products and designers. Complete the experience by buying, in real-time, straight from the catwalk. A fashion consumer’s dream!
It truly is a first of its kind for live fashion experiences opening up the industry to wider consumer participation around the world. This is the future for brands and events alike and I cannot wait to see the results.
